66th Paris - Nice turning into a classic

March 15th, 2008 by Ricky Blayney

Theres been little TV coverage of this that I have seen but cycling news has been doing the live reports and full results with some online highlights over on Eurosport.com.  So far it looks to have been a cracking stage race - the first big one of the year so far.  After five stages young Robert Gesink of Rabobank held a lead on the GC over veteran David Rebellin but Rebellin attacked today and turned over the time to take the GC lead.  Rebellin didn’t win the stage but done enough to over turn Gesink’s lead who drops to 4th place.  With one day to go it should be an exciting one with three riders within one minute of the lead.
